Climate Adaptation and Mitigation

Mixed-media animated explainer video for the NGO The Nature Conservancy (TNC) about adaptation and mitigation. Both are responses to the climate crisis, and the two words are often confused. The challenge: explaining the difference on YouTube without losing rigor and showing that solutions already exist. We combined an expert's commentary with animation that alternates between full screen and split screen. This way, each concept got an image, along with characters representing Indigenous, riverside and quilombola communities. Result: more than 33,000 views for the episode and more than 856,000 for the nine-video series.
